I have the Coolermaster HAFx. Been using it since 2011 (blue led version). Has housed a few different builds.

I am looking for something new and have sort of narrowed it down to: Coolermaster H500M, Corsair 500D rgb, or the Corsair 680x.

Each one of the above has advantages and disadvantages to such an extent, I can't really decide. Any help/advice from owners is appreciated.

I am currently air cooling an overclocked 6700k. The next build will be whatever top end consumer cpu is available and will be AIO cooled.

I really like the look of the Corsair 1000D, but it is just too darn large.

    Thoughts?

Perhaps the Lian Li http://www.lian-li.com/pc-o11-dynamic/ instead? Could be another option.

I don't think you can go 'wrong' with any of your current choices, but they are quite expensive options typically. I personally prefer smaller builds (hence the sig build, ITX!) so I see little need to go full-towers, when most mid-towers will do the job.

Heck you could even probably get away with the Fractal Meshify C TG, or Meshify S2 for a slightly longer case. Just for some other options.

Can't speak for the cases listed, but recently moved to a Corsair 780T and I'm impressed with the build quality. This is my first Corsair case and wouldn't hesitate going with another one.

Then your only hard requirement is the need for an AIO, and generally, that means deciding on supporting a 360mm or 280mm RAD, or both, at most.

That's most modern mid-towers- the rest is just convenience and aesthetics. Biggest thing for me is some sound deadening material, but other than that, you can roll the dice.

Tough to find a good case these days that isn't made of cheap plastic or fully encased in ugly ass tempered glass.

I recommend the CoolerMaster MC500 or Mastercase Pro 5.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I appreciate the suggestions. Looking at all of these now.

RGB and tempered glass has sort of grown on me over the years.

It seems that with each case, I find one flaw that prevents me from pulling the trigger.

    Fractal Define R5//R6 -- C/S/S2/Meshify.

Corsair Air 540 -- Obsidian 500/750D you all mentioned some of the others

    TT Core x5/X9 Suppressor F31

Phanteks pretty much all of them these days.

I did not fully read, just "case can't decide" so I threw more in here lol.

I myself despise RGB everywhere as far as the eye can see which totally takes away from what it could be 99% of the time, there are things still make me "oh thats cool" like when Enermax released their Apolish RGB fan line, or G. Skill with their recent Royal RGB ram..these are some kind of yummy am sure if one put $$$$$$$$$$$$ into their build them Royal line of DDR4 would be sick as oh hell to "finish it off"

Personally, I just picked up the O11 to replace my Meshify C. Try something different anyway.

    How do you like it?
Did you get an Air or Dynamic?
I'm also wanting something more than my Fractal cases.

Dynamic...still in the box. Going to take it out today.

    Edit:

Just built it. I like it. There's a ton of room inside as the case is a little bigger than expected. More wide than tall. It's maybe 2" wider than the Meshify C that I replaced and about the same height. USB C connector on front (but no reset switch). Even the Dynamic still has a lot of airflow capability. Instead of coming from the front, it comes from the side near the front. Room for multiple 3 fan radiators also. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. Probably keep this around for a while.

Awesome, I've got 2 aios and not enough airflow. X299 vrms can get a little toasty with a mild oc. 1080ti could use something larger than a 140mm aio bc it will saturate it.

Basically it sounds like an o11 is the direction I should go bc a physically larger than R5 case isn't needed. It's internal options I've been wanting for a while. Have been running the top and front open with pumps and fans cranked, it's loud and barely moving enough air for x299 vs z270.

    Thanks!
