Games of all kinds, web use, movies, photoshop and video editing. possible virtual machines.

$1500 - $2000 Shipping and tax will have to be included.

Usb 3.0 and SATA 6Gbs for future proofing. Possible interest in crossfire or sli dependent on cost.

Go for the Z87-Pro.

SSD wise, go for the Samsung 840 or 840 Pro, whichever fits yhour budget.

Video card wise, you have a very very low resolution. Any plans on upgrading the monitor? If not, the $160 HD 7850 2GB will be enough. If so, go for the $260 GTX 760.

As for the HSF, go for the Corsair H80i.

Oh and that Pioneer blu-ray doesn't come with any software to actually watch blu-ray content. So you might want to see if there's actually any good free blu-ray playback software out there. Otherwise, you may have to pay the $100 for Arcsoft Total Media Theatre.

The cost of the monitor will not be part of the build. What's a good monitor to get if I end up going with GTX 760?

If I buy the Blu-ray and then have to buy software to get it to play that kinda defeats the purpose of buying that one. If I went with a Blu-ray what would you go for with a Blu-ray? Is there a better one then that?

Depends on your budget for the monitor.

You might want to hit up the Displays subforum for better/additional monitors recommendations. But the Asus VS248H-P seems to be solid.

No one makes the "best" card per se. Just depends on which combination of features, warranty, and customer support you like best.

EDIT: Scratch the Asus monitor recommendation: The Acer seems to be a better choice since it's 120Hz:
$230 - Acer GD235HZbid 23.6" 120Hz LCD Monitor
