I am building a PC after 4 years so wanted to check what I have so far. Thank you for all the people that post reviews for products as it was very helpful for research:

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc

Web Browsing, HD and Blue Ray Movies, Gaming (Wow, GW2, Skyrim)

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?

1500 Excluding a Monitor, Tax and Shipping not included

3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.

USA, NY, NYC

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget?

Case, Mobo, CPU, GPU, RAM, Power Supply, CPU Fan, Blu Ray Player, SSD Drive

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing?

Maxtor MaXLine Plus II 7Y250M00653RA 250GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 1.5Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive -Bare Drive

Western Digital Caviar Black WD1001FALS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

Fans from my Antec 900 Case (Is this possible ?)

6) Will you be overclocking?

I have never overclocked before so unless there is an easy way to do so: No

7) 7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?

I am currently using a Samsung 2253BW monitor: 22' (1680 x 1050 is the recommended resolution). I am not apposed to buying a new monitor. However, this one has served me well for 4 years and works perfectly.

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?

Ideally late October or early November, though I can wait till January

9) What features do you need in a motherboard?

RAID, Crossfire or SLI support, USB 3.0, SATA 6Gb/s

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If so, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?

I have a legit WinXP Home Edition 32 bit license

I am trying to future proof a bit as I usually don't upgrade a PC for a few years. Sorry for the very long post but i have tried to keep it as clean as possible. Any help would be much appreciated as I have been out of the PC Build loop for a long time.

Well, right off the top, you can save quite a bit of money by changing out the RAM for some basic DDR3-1600. Sandy Bridge is not at all sensitive to RAM speed, so anything above 1600 is overkill (and even 1333 normally works fine). Here's some good G.Skill:

Likewise, unless you plan to upgrade the monitor, you can safely drop down to the 1GB version of the 6950. The 1 GB runs fine at 1080p resolutions.

But either way, if you don't intend to build until he end of October it is too early to be asking for assistance, as products and prices could change dramatically before then.

Thank you very much. I didn't realize I was jumping the gun and will wait till the end of October to post.
