1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
- Machine will be strictly for gaming, maybe some photoshop/dreamweaver on the side.

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
-1500 max including shipping.

3) Where do you live?
- Medford, Oregon

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. Please be very specific.
- Just need the tower, so case, ram, cpu, board, GPU, optical drive

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific
about the power supply. List make and model.
-Using my two monitors + keyboard/mouse.

6) Will you be overclocking?
- very little if any, maybe just whatever I can with the default heatsink.

7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have?
- I currently use 2 21" monitors.

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
- Probably within a 2 week period as long as my PC sells to my friend.

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? etc.
- Raid or SLI, Crossfire don't matter.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? 32bit or 64bit?
- Yes I will be using my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

Here are the parts I have already come up with, let me know if you see any compatibility issues or suggestions. Thank you.

Case - Corsair 800D Full Tower - $300
Mobo - Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3 - $120
GPU - XFX 5870 - $420
PSU - Corsair 750W $140
CPU - Intel Core i7 860 $290
Memory - Mushkin 4GB (2 X 2GB) DDR3 1600 $135
HDD - WD 640gb Black Sata 3.0 $75
Optical Drive - Lite-On DVD Burner $27

Total = 1466

All parts from Newegg

I know the case is a lot, but I love cases with a passion and the money for them is always worth it for me, I currently own the Silverstone TJ09 and I love it, also a 300 dollar case.

Please give any input, Thank You.

Piss poor price for 4GB of RAM considering that for $30 more you can get 2GB of more RAM. As such, I recommend this RAM:
$105 - G.Skill Ripjaw Series F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL 2 x 2GB DDR3 1600 RAM

Are you planning on getting 3rd monitor with a display port for Eyefinity? If not, don't bother with the HD 5870 as it is overkill for those two monitors. The HD 5770 would be a good choice. Maybe the HD 5830 if you can find it for $230 shipped

Also, the Corsair 750TX does not costs $140. It costs $110.

Mobo wise, I'd go with this mobo instead:
$135 - Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD3 Intel P55 ATX Motherboard

I Would change the ram to Corsair. The originally priced mushkin is efinitly too much for what is a lower quality ram then the G.Skill or Corsair.. Also G.Skill is a good brand, but corsair is better & at a 5 dollar difference I would go with the better stuffs..

As far as the rest goes The motherboard change as sudgested is a good buy, But seriously you need to skimp on the Case or Video some & get a SSD.. Both are nice, But you will get a better system for your money spent investing elsewhere. Inface if you backup on both some You could easily vreate the budget to get a fairly large high end SSD (talking 128-160ish Gb), or a pair of smaller ones for a raid 0.

I agree with Danny. Yes, you want a 3rd monitor for Eyefinity! :D

Spec-wise, the Corsairs are actually worse, since they require more voltage. And since Intel specified max voltage to be 1.65v, I'd go for the ripjaws instead, since they're rated at the JEDEC standard voltage of 1.5v. So, stick to lower voltage for better compatibility and more headroom. However, if you just want Corsair, you'll still be fine, since they are rated for the max. Any higher may damage the CPU (integrated mem controller).

I'll probably switch to the 5850 GPU, thing is I don't mind paying a bit for a GPU as long as it lasts me for 3 years or so and who knows if I get new monitors. Also I like that board and I'll go ahead and look at that Corsair memory, thank you.

I am aware, I am just biased & tend to stick with what I have had the best success with. & For Memory Corsair & Crucial have never failed me.. Thats not the case for G.skill.. Don't get me wrong though I know G.skill is a good brand, I just don't consider them to be the best & had it been a 15-20 dollar price difference I wouldn't have recommended otherwise..

All brands have failed me at one point or another. For those RAM choices, Corsair offers me nothing over G.Skill worth paying ANY price premium for, IMHO. But alas, we all have our personal preferences, and I prefer to stick with better compatibility specs -- its what you learn when you've run out of brands to run to, lol. ;)
