Plugged everything in and went to boot up and the debug led goes through some numbers then stops at 96.

According to the manual 96 reads "Assign PCI device Resources."
It stops there.

I've tried using dvi as well as vga cables plugged into the rear IO panel. No video card installed at this time - just trying to run off integrated gpu.
Monitor power led just keeps flashing signifying no signal. System never moves past saying code 96.

Any ideas?

Try booting with a single sick of memory. Issues like this for me, have usually been related to memory not being seated properly. Also, try clearing the CMOS.

Can you add a video card to see if it's a onboard video issue?

What error code do you get without RAM?

Try re-seating the CPU.

rma'd the board

thanks all for your suggestions
