Hello,
I just put together a new build with the following components:
CASE SILVERSTONE|450W SG05BB-450 R
MB BIOSTAR|TH61ITX+RCH H61 1155
CPU INTEL|CORE I3 2100 3.1G 3M R
SSD 40G|MUSHKIN MKNSSDCL40GB-DX RT
MEM 2Gx2|GSKILL F3-10666CL9D-4GBNS
But when I hit the power button, the cpu fan spins up for maybe 2 seconds (and the mobo lights come on as well as the peripheals in that time), and then it shuts down. What's really odd though is that on some of the times I hit the button (very rarely), it will actually let me get to bios or boot the flash drive I'm installing off of. However, I can only get so far in the flash drive before it shuts off.
At first I thought the stock heatsink was broken (I had had too much trouble getting it in) so I swapped in an unused stock heatsink in my closet. It did not help. I've also tried all combinations of my ram (including none) with the same result, as well as trying to boot without the ssd and pci card (ethernet) that I have in.
Any ideas that might fix this, or is my mobo shot (that's my guess)?
EDIT:
I have also tried booting it on the mobo box with the same result, as well as resetting cmos. I don't even get some boots working anymore.
