Just finished my new build this past weekend and wanted to know how my temps were.
Have not OCed yet.

Mobo - Asus P8P67 Pro
CPU - 2500k
Ram - 8gb Kingston HyperX 1600
CPU cooler - Corsair A70 w/included A70 thermal paste.

This is after running prime for about 10 min. Low 27c / High 56c

temps aren't bad but kind of all over the place. i would recommend double checking the temps with real temp which is made for intel processors and usually more up to date.

Here it is with Real Temp. Ran Prime for the same amount of time as before.
No real difference other than Real Temp is not listing the CPU speed like Core Temp did.

So - nobody feels safe trusting the monitoring software provided with their motherboard, eh? ;)

But a chipset/cpu/mobo maker would benefit from under-reporting, no?

you fry your shit, 'oops..gotta buy a new one' ;)

if the mobos read from the same sensors as external progs (core, realt), why are the results multiple degrees different? does someone not know how to convert f <--> c
