New Build- simple question(s)
Hi folks. Well with Windows 7 due to drop through my door this month I succumbed to tech addiction and what was gonna be an upgrade has turned into a new pc.

First I ordered this bundle:
*OVERCLOCKED* Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66Ghz @ 4.00GHz Max / Gigabyte EX58-UD5 Intel X58 Motherboard / Patriot Viper 6GB DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz DDR3 Bundle [] Overclocked Bundles Intel Bundles

This includes a Noctua NH-U12P

I was just going to stick this in my current rig but then got a bit crazy with the credit card and ordered these:

Buy Cooler Master ATCS 840 ATX Case*RC-840-KKN1-GP from CCL - Online Retailer of the Year 2008, 2007 & 2006 for laptops, desktops and computer hardwar

Buy 850W Be Quiet! Dark Power PRO Modular Power Supply*BN075 from CCL - Online Retailer of the Year 2008, 2007 & 2006 for laptops, desktops and computer hardware

My intention is to put this lot together and then put in the Samsung F1 1TB with my Vistax64/ Windows 7 RTM from my current pc.

So I have a couple of queries.

Firstly, given this is a new mobo and bios, will I just be able to plug in and boot up using my current dual boot setup?

Secondly can anyone foresee any problems with these components and the build?

Thanks in advance, John

1) It varies from system to system. I've seen it work just fine as well as seen it be unstable or sluggish. Supposedly Windows 7 handles transferring from mobo to mobo easily but haven't had the chance to try it.

2) Haven't seen any proper review of the Be Quiet series of PSU. So I can't tell if they're of good quality. IIRC, some of them are FSP which makes me less than willing to recommend them.

Thanks for the reply Danny.
Hope it works. I'm hoping to use it like this until I get my W7 retail disk then wipe Vista (maybe replace it in the dual boot with Ubuntu).
I can then re install Vista on my current (old) machine and sell it as a complete unit.

Thanks again, John:)
