New build... Need suggestions...

How do you pay the difference? CC, Cheque, Money Order?

CC or Paypal I believe, though not sure. You pay the difference between what you paid for your previous card and the MSRP of the new card, so it only makes sense when cards are brand new and priced at or higher than MSRP or very difficult to find.

No I am going to be buying this instore. Partly because I'm only 16 and partly because you get some small cash discounts here and there. The only thing I really have is PayPal.

Get the Paypal Debit card then. You can apply for it after having a Paypal account for 60 days. Then you can buy whatever you want.

X38? Underwhelming, that's what they are. 3% performance boost, if that, and at a huge price hike for the moment. Currently not worth it to most.

I know in computers you aren't futureproof for very long but I am wondering whether these will give a few months to me maybe more?

No not really. The X38 chipset doesn't really offer that much. A good P35 board will last you just as long as an X38

Jeez always somethign new coming November 12th first wave of Penryn chips come out? What are the specs of those? Also, What about the G92?

8800GT is due out within a week I think.

First round of Yorkfields will be highest end extreme edition and/or xeons. Wait for the Q1'08 releases of yorkfield/wolfdale if you want a Penryn family CPU.

Well I have thought and I think I won't OC at all and if I do it will be minor and later in my comptuers life cycle so what can I chop?

4x1GB is best on a P35 board, but its still flaky sometimes -- especially if its rated for high voltage (2.1v+). With that said, I'm running 4x1GB ballistix at 2.3v on my DS3R.

If you want a board with PCI-E 2.0, just buy it later -- when it matters. To help offset the cost, sell the old board. PCI-E 2.0 wont matter for now, until, I'm guessing, the 2nd generation of PCI-E 2.0 cards.

Ditch the OCZ PSU... there are better choices. The Corsair you originally had was much better.

Flaky? In what way? Also, will all sticks be running at their intended speed?

Running 4 sticks at such high voltage stresses the MCH (memory controller), so sometimes a stable system will become unstable. Some people have had to lower the RAM speed. Some people couldn't get it working all together and either ditched the extra set of ram or returned the 4 sticks for a 2x2GB config instead.

That ram supposidly runs 1.9 - 2.1 volts, should I be alright with that? Should I buy it before I buy my rig?
