O.K after baking my old 8800 Ultra card and getting some life back in to it I am now looking to build a new PC as mine is 5yr's old.

I would am going to use my old Antec 900 case but am not sure if my old Corsair 650W modular PSU will be up to the job

Now to answer those all important sticky questions:

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gamining mainly but I also do web design so some graphic work

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
Budget is £500 including VAT/Tax and Shipping or as close to as possible

3) Where do you live?
United Kingdom

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
CPU
CPU Heatsink
RAM
MOBO
GFX (will be looking to SLI but won't be able to afford second card for about 2 months)
PSU?
Thermal Paste (I only have Artic Silver 3)

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
Antec 900 Case
Corsair 650W PSU (Although I don't think this will be powerful enough)

6) Will you be overclocking?
No

7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have?
I have 2 x 22" Viewsonic's 1080p

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Tomorrow if I get a responce quick enough

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? etc.
SLI or Corssfire
Pref 8Gb of Ram

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
I would have to call MS first but I have a legit version of Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit ( Ihate the fact if you change your hardware your key has to be unlocked first)

-------------------------------------

I have been quited the following but would like to see what responce and suggestions I get.

This CPU
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/inte...-bridge-quad-core-28ghz-6mb-cache-95w-retaill
(or this one if you want to overclock):
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/inte...y-bridge-quad-core-33ghz-6mb-cache-95w-retail
This board
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/giga...s-1155-pci-e-20-(x16)-ddr3-1333-sata-raid-atx
(or this one if you want to run SLI/CF - not necessary, but will add a little bit of performance, plus it's a higher-spec board):
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/giga...pci-e-20-(x16)-ddr3-2133-sata-6gb-s-sata-raid
This RAM:
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/8gb-...0-(1600)-non-ecc-unbuffered-cas-9-9-9-27-165v

This card (or two):
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1gb-...-960-stream-processors-dp-dvi-d-dl-dvi-i-hdmi
alternatively, if you want a quieter card, go with:
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1gb-...775mhz-960-stream-processors-2x-dvi-i-hdmi-dp

The above was done by: samuelmorris

The PC needs to have longevity as I have a 9 month old boy so funds after this will be a none existant thing.

Looking forward to seeing what is suggested.

Thanks

I'd go with the XFX card and that RAM choice is fine. Motherboard wise, since you want SLI and/or Crossfire, out of those choices, the Gigabyte UD4 mobo would be your best bet. Your Corsair will still be enough power.

O.K so I think I am set on the following:

Intel CPU Core i5 2500 Sandy Bridge Quad Core Processor
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/inte...y-bridge-quad-core-33ghz-6mb-cache-95w-retail

Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4 Intel P67 Express Socket 1155 Motherboard
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/giga...pci-e-20-(x16)-ddr3-2133-sata-6gb-s-sata-raid

Corsair Memory XMS3 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz
http://www.scan.co.uk/products/8gb-...0-(1600)-non-ecc-unbuffered-cas-9-9-9-27-165v

I am going pop it all in my Antec 900 case with the current Corsair 650W PSU

However I have been looking in to the video cards again and come across this one:

XFX ATI Radeon HD 6850 Black Edition
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-189-XF&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1866

Any comments? Also what heatsink do people recommend I have been looking at the following:

Akasa AK-CCX-4002HP Venom CPU Cooler
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-072-AK

The whole thing comes in at £559.33, just above budget but still affordable.

Thanks

Go for the two fan XFX card.

HSF, I recommend this:
$30 - Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus HSF for LGA 1366 and LGA 1156
