New build, getting crashes

Getting freezes about once per day. Hard freeze, can't move the mouse, repeating last second or so of sound. I know my SSD is sandforce based but I'm not getting an actual BSOD. How can I check to figure out what is causing these crashes? (I did update firmware and reinstall windows last night, already froze once since then)

Getting very close to the end of the return window on the SSD, so help would be very appreciated.
 
try installing the os on a different hd so as to isolate the ssd from the picture. Or you could always just return the ssd and get a different one.

Is the bios for the mobo up to date? Are the proper voltages & timings set on the ram?

Are you sure of that psu? I dont see a 630w psu on the ocz website?

Alright, I had forgot to check for bios update so I did that. On restart I got a BSOD ending in 5c which apparently is hardware or driver (thanks, tell me something I hadn't guessed).

I pressed the hard restart button and windows repair came up and said it found 1 error

ACLs on slui.exe are not proper
Access control repair completed successfully.

That apparently is a windows activation thing so I doubt that's related.

I guess for now I will just run the computer until I get another crash, hoping it just needed the bios update.

Yes, it's actually a 650W, sorry.
 
Oh, and I believe everything was set right on the ram but I will double check that in a minute.

Remember to run Windows Update, as well.
 
Okay I am crash free for a few days now, looks like all it needed was the BIOS update. (I hope!)

Oh, I did go into BIOS and change the RAM timings to what the RAM is rated for. They were set a little higher for some reason.

I did see an issue with a motherboard similar to mine and RAM similar to mine so I'm thinking there may have been slight incompatibility with my RAM that the BIOS update hopefully fixed.
