Recently put together a new build for my mother, but I'm kind of stuck. The error I get is "The RealTek Network Adapter/Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode enabled Please Plug the Cable" upon trying to install the lan drivers. I used drivers directly from the ASUS website and this has been giving me hell so far.
I'm running an A6-3500 with an ASUS F1A75-M Pro board with 4gbs of ram and one 7200 hdd all on a 350w antec psu. I'm guessing that the board is faulty or this board is just tricky to work with, since my setup is fairly straightforward and simple.
Under device manager it does show up as a "ethernet controller" but with a question or exclamation mark upon the icon, most likely indicating that I don't have drivers installed for it. If I try to uninstall the drivers the controller disappears in the device manager and reappears whenever I reinstall the drivers (but the error still follows at the end of installation).
The ethernet port in the back also lights up yellow whenever I plug in an ethernet cable as well. I'm wondering if the card is actually broken or not, but I'm not sure if the lighting up actually means anything.
I've tried almost everything. I've removed the RAM, cleared the cmos, disabled/enabled the ethernet controller in the bios, installed older drivers. The only thing I havent done yet, is reinstall windows, but I will give it a shot tomorrow since it is getting late for me. I'm hoping that I could get some solutions on here, cause I REALLY hate going through RMA and I'd prefer not to run over to microcenter to go buy a separate card :[
