I have been running this e6600 overclocked to 3.3GHz since 2007 and slowly upgraded it piecemeal but now that Ivy Bridge was a dud it's time to finish it. I really don't see a compelling reason to go with anything other than a 2500K from a bang for the buck perspective.
My main decision is if I should reuse my Antec 900 (Great airflow, but a dust magnet and no 3.0 headers) and buy a ATX Z77 board or purchase a mATX case (SilverStone TJ08-E?) and a mATX Z77 board. I've always thought that towers and mid-towers were overkill unless going extreme, but I'd love some opinions on that. It seems like you really don't lose much going from ATX to mini-ATX, but going any smaller and you really make huge sacrifices. I have a lot of extra space in the Antec 900 and don't think I'll ever go SLI. Why not sell your current GPU and buy a single GPU solution that is twice as good? I suppose the only time SLI makes sense to me is when you are pushing insane pixels and there isn't a single card solution that's twice as good available.

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc.
See below
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing?
See below
6) Will you be overclocking?
As high as I can go completely stable on air cooling (4.5GHz?)
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
37" Westinghouse, 1920x1080 (w/20" Acer on the side)
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Tomorrow/This Weekend
9) What features do you need in a motherboard?
USB 3.0, SATA 6Gb/s, UEFI

Yes, Windows7 Professional x64
Case: Antec 900 (already own) or go mATX (SilverStone TJ08-E?)
CPU: Used 2500K (already own)
Mobo: Z77? mATX or ATX -- They all seem fairly good.
PSU: Corsair HX620 (already own)
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti FPB (already own)
Ram: 8GB of pc1666? Good enough for overclocking? I don't think I have any use for 16GB
SSD: Crucial M4 256GB (already own)
HD: 1TB Barracuda 7200.12 (already own)
CPU HSF: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo?
Thanks.
