1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Primarily gaming, web browsing, watching movies, listening to music, etc. I will possibly do a bit of CAD and FEA, but don’t need to focus the build on this.

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$2000 counting taxes/shipping

3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
Houston, TX, USA. There is a Microcenter very close to me.

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
Case
Mobo
PSU
CPU
CPU Cooler
GPU
HDD
SSD
RAM
DVD Drive(might skip. How easy is it to install windows without one?)
Monitor
Keyboard
Mouse
Decent computer speakers or headphones
Wireless Card

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
None

6) Will you be overclocking?
Yes. I enjoy squeezing all of the performance I can out of my CPU and, to a lesser extent, GPU.

7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
1440 probably. I am thinking about getting the QNIX QX2710 27" Monitor, but am open to suggestions.

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Within the next week

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
Good overclocking performance. I don’t plan on using a RAID setup initially, but I would like to have that option in the future. I guess USB 3 and SATA 6. SLI for possible future upgrade.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
No. I need an OS. Should I go with Windows 7 or Windows 8? I don’t mind learning a new OS if there are any benefits to it.

For a case, I am looking at the Corsair 650D.

I am thinking a GTX 770 would fit my budget. Should I go with the 2gb or 4gb version?

I think I'll go with a 4670k, and Microcenter has some CPU+MOBO combos that look like good deals, but I'm not sure which MOBO, if any of those, I should get.

I will probably get a Logitech G500 mouse because i used to have a G5 and I loved it. I would like a mechanical keyboard if one can be fit into the budget.

If you are going to game at 1440, I would suggest the gtx780 if you can squeeze it into your budget.

Installing windows without a disc is easy as long as you have a windows iso that you can use to make a bootable usb drive (it actually is the best way to install windows).

Go with windows 8 and install StartIsBack.

For the mouse and keyboard, I highly recommend that you try those in person as even the most popular gaming mices out there may not be the right fit for you. With that said, these two are some of the more popular mouses out there:
$55 - Razer DeathAdder 2013 Mouse
$70 - Razer Naga 2013 Mouse

As for case, while the 650D is a good case it might push you over budget after getting the rest of the parts. I recommend the following cases in case you go over budget with the 650D:
$100 - Corsair Carbide Series 400R ATX Case
$100 - Antec 1100 ATX Case
$90 - Lian Li PC-7HX Black Aluminum ATX Case
$105 - Corsair Carbide Series 500R ATX Case
$100 - Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Gunmetal Black ATX Case
$120 - Corsair Vengeance Series C70 Arctic White ATX Case
$140 - Corsair Obsidian Series 550D ATX Case

I game at 1440p and saw a big difference going from a 7970 to a 780. I like to crank everything up though. Plus, even with Danny's build (which seems very solid), it looks like you easily can squeeze in the 780.

I would recommend faster memory since there isn't much of a price difference these days.

Again, this is only because you said $2K.

The build/price Danny listed didnt have everything in it. Once it is all added up, I am sitting just under $2000 with the 770. OCed it should be good enough for most games at 1440p it looks like, and I could always pick up another one down the line if needed.
