New Budget SR-2 Enclosure

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but Rosewill now makes a high airflow XL-ATX case that can swallow an SR-2 for $130 shipped.

I'm not crazy about the astetics but its hard to argue with the full fan load and capabilities at that price, especially when a MM SR-2 tray alone is 70 bucks. Anandtech has a pretty good review here.

You still need to mod it, it's not deep enough front to back. SR-2's are even deeper then they are tall unlike most mobo's.

XL-ATX is an SR-2 form factor, so you shouldn't need to mod anything.

my SR-2 is in the garage, I couldn't stand the noise. Since I only go visit it once a month, its naked. $130 still a bit too much for my use .

so that means its pretty much gonna rule out the new x79 duel 2011 sr that's coming out.

Just to avoid confusion, this case is definitely large enough for the SR-2. I'm thinking about picking one up next time Newegg throws a promo code on it.
