I finally got around to ordering some Aqua Computer watercooling goods. I must say it was a pleasure to install a 3/8" ID / 1/2" OD system compared to the 1/2" ID / 3/4" OD type. Temps are pretty much the same as I was getting with my WW ( WW=37C Aqua=39C) The only difference is I can run almost completely silent whereas I had to push air through the old configuration. Everything was purchased at www.snt-systems.com I highly recommend them!

And to finish the right way, I added this!

aqua-computer + SNT systems = good stuff

Looks like a nice setup, hopefully I'll have my AC blocks soon...

that looks great but the grill is a little off
you should get a gpu block now :)

It had to be so it can clear the PCI slots. The Lian-Li V1000 has the motherboard upside down and the power supply is on the bottom.

Kinda sucked to do that but you gotta do what you gotta do.

I'm amazed how much quiter I can run my fans with this configuration.

Nice computer man. I love that grill so much but i can't justify spending $31 for it.

Newegg has the v1000 listed at $189 which is the cheapest I've seen.

I would like to see pictures of your old setup for comparison.

They are gone...... It consisted of a Dtek WW, same pump, 1/2" OD tube, and the Dtek JR Pro radiator.

I am willing to give up a few degreez C for the absolute beauty of these blocks. :D

Darn you all!

Now I want to go out and buy A-C stuff....

Got a PC-72 that's just screaming to be modded to hell and back. I'm thinking black micro-mesh and some serious dremel work....It might look killer with a window and all that in it :)

wasnt talking about it being centered its not straight

It appears to be straight if you take into account that the concept of "Perspective" applies here. :D

its not straight that I will promise you can tell in both pictures of the top grill :p

It is straight, just not centered due to the PCI slots getting in the way. Here is an update with a GPU block ;) The X800 Pro (modded to a XT-PE) runs at 32c now! :D :D

I wish you had sold me your Dtek Jr, I just bought one for my second loop. :(

I guess you are who Dan was wanting me to take A64 block pics for. :)

Nice looking PC, I really wanted that case.. but it wasnt out when I started my building. Maybe down the road Ill get it.. but I just got this one almost done now. I have the same mobo as you as well, and video card. I doubt someone will want my case if I get the new one, since its pretty modded, but who knows.

My pic for comparison... Just added my Dtek Jr in front tonight... going to buy another pump in a few weeks. I wanted a Evo, but I didnt think my fan would work, since it cant use the normal fan screws. Then the GPU, HD, and Res from snt to finish off my second loop in the next few months. One step at a time..

(not trying to highjack the thread, just happy to see a fellow Aqua/snt customer. :) )

edit, do you also find it was a little hard to get the CPU block plate to stay on when tightening down?

Yes! I wish they would revise the hold down for this block as I think we are only getting %75 of the cooling potential. When I added the chipset block I pulled the springs to try and get more pressure on the core. So far so good plus this is totally silent now!

What kind of overclock are you gettting with that board and ram? I was only able to get 220fsb out of that board. I just put my KV8-Pro back in yesterday and am able to get 235 x 10 pretty stable. I'm reading that HyperX isn't a good mix with AMD chips. I hope that isn't true.

I havent even tried to overclock it yet, just got it running late Friday. Ive read that the beta 1.25 bios is really good... but I cant seem to flash it. I tried Winflash, but it doesnt pick it up. It only does when I select show all files.

I have a VNF-250 and got my 3400+ up to 235fsb at the default 11x, for 2.6gig. Hopefully I can do the same with this board. Ive got 2x512 HyperX PC4000 and didnt have any problems with it and my VNF. Ive read on the MSI forums to use dimm 1&3, so thats where my ram is. Ill probably try overclocking today sometime.

MrHappyGoLucky do you think the Evo360 Rad would fit inside the V1000? I have a PC-75 but I am thinking about downsizing to the V1000. If so, I might have to mount the rad externally.

MrHappyGoLucky, you've put almost everything I want to try in one box. Pretty freakin' nice! 2 suggestions for you:

1) You've got two free drive bays you can't put drives in, do you have the width/height to put an lcd in place? That would be pretty damn tight!
2) Wire management/cleanup. The case and blocks have such nice clean lines. Extraneous wiring really detracts from that. I've read several threads where flipping SATA drives the opposite direction has made a big difference. I know the PSU bay in that case is no picnic, but I've seen creative use of ties and tucking that really help. When I get my WC project off the ground, I'm going to try an ultra x connect or a antec neopower. A pluggable PSU seems perfect for that case.

Great work!

Nice setup.

I have the highly disputed Aqua-computer Silver Cuplex waterblock in my system now, and as soon as I get a few more things cleaned up I'll post pictures.

Wow bro, you did a good job. I really like the looks of that german stuff. I did notice that monster rad taking up quite a bit of space.

I just ordered the Lian Li V2000, which is the monster brother to the case you have. My question was did you just drill out the rivets that hold that first hard drive rack in? My case wont be here until friday but was wondering how it was affixed in the case. Thats where my rad is going. Thanks and good job.

Please do.. I am waiting for my new block to arrive (non-silver version).

Yes, I drilled out the rivets because I had my Dtek Pro Rad there before I switch out the equipment to AC. Because you got the V2000, you should be able to fit a radiator the size of a 120mm fan with no problems. You will also end up cutting out some of the slot for the power supply cables to fit the tubing.

Have fun, I wish I would have gotten the V2000 too.

In case you guys didnt notice, he cant respond. He got banned a while ago.

Yeah, I noticed that... I guess he won't be back anytime soon.

Dan,
Why don't you setup a review here with HardOCP with an Aqua Computer setup vs a couple of the top water cooling system manufacturers(DangerDen, PolarFlo, Swiftech)? That would be fantastic!

Am I the only person that would like to see this?

J

sweet watercooling setup, i bought an exos for my first watercooling setup but my next one will definetly be a custom kit. i love the aqua components. one thing tho, you need t get some ramsink on that video card.

awesome setup :D

Good enough idea, where's Kyle? But...what should be the contents of the "setup" and what size tubing should be used?

You are lucky I continue to read through these threads Bell. :)

And then I have to ask myself....... Why the heck am I awake right now? I went to sleep around 4am this morning and I wake up 3 hours later. Ok guys, what gives? Im going back to sleep!

Anybody want to call me after 10:30 for a wakeup call and "open" SNTsystems? It usually happens like that, who wants to take one for the team today? :D

The RAM is not even warm to the touch so I have not done anything with them. You will not be disappointed with AC goods.

I work at a bar 1 night a week and went to bed at 6:30 and now it's 10:30 and I'm wide awake. I feel your pain :( I'll be taking a nap later for sure. heh

Each setup should run with the size tubing they 'normally' use. Basically, I think that the A.C setup should use 3/8 and the other systems use 1/2 tubing, I think that's what most systems run on here. I'm very curious to see how the low flow system stacks up vs the high flow A.C system. I would really like to see all using both size but I think that would be asking way too much. They should also be tested for the amount of noise they produce at min and maximum flow.

I really don't know what else they should be tested for, any suggestions gang?

I'd like to see a COMPLETE Aquacomputer system.... (Reservoir, 3/8" /10mm tubing, radiator, and waterblocks) run against a standard 1/2 kit or common DIY parts (like a Swiftech or Dangerden waterblock, and you know the rest) .... tested on the same system, same components, same testing. The main things I would want to see is difference between ambient and CPU temps, video card temps, CPU temps, and overclockability.

After something like that happens, then we can have more valid arguments about 1/2 vs 3/8 or low flow German style vs. the american high flow 1/2" systems like the arguments a lot of people seem to want to get into.

Riiight, I'd love to see that too. I actually emailed Kyle Bennett today to see if he would run a test like that for us and he said that it wont happend because 90% of the readers here, including myself, are from North America and have no access to these products. He said that the product would have to have at least 5 vendors here in N.A. It really doesn't make sense to me because these products are available in teh U.S. It took me over 3 weeks to get my BFG 6800 GT at a normal price, but I got it. I don't work for Snt and don't even have a water cooling system yet. I'm still trying to make an 'informed' decision on what to buy.
