i just installed a sapphire 5970 and now the overdrive in ccc is gone completely, ive tried the 9.11 drivers and the new dirt 2 hotfix ones, i even unistalled all drivers ran driversweep and its stil missing. Anything else to try ? ps im using win 7 64bit

It is a BIOS issue I think. Sapphire released an updated BIOS that solves this issue. I don't have a direct link, but do a search I'm sure you'll find it.

i updated the bios and tried those drivers as well, neither worked.

Well do not take this the wrong way.You must have did it wrong.I would at least install the correct drivers again.
If that does not work you did not flash the Bios correctly.

Also MSI fan control can not work without CCC overdrive.

i tried both sets of drivers, each time i uninstalled and even ran driver sweeper than restarted, msi afterburner wont let me change settings. my "old" card 5870 never had this issue. I dont see what i could have done wrong. ive been using ati since the 9700 days and have never had a problem like this installing drivers. i followed the sapphire bios instrucions to a t.

this is normal, at least with the dirt 2 drivers, happens to me as well.

With the beta 5 drivers I did have access to Overdrive, odd that it's not working for you.

i unistalled the ati drivers again, went into safe mode ran driver sweeper, restarted, reflashed bios, restarted again, installed drivers and ioverdrive is still missing

Hi there, well can you please list what bios and driver you are using again, because it does work with what I posted in post three.
I do not think that you have the only card that does not work on.

Bios is 102 with the flash files, remove jpegs from boot device before flashing
S3C00001.OC8 make sure this file is on your boot drive
S3C00001.OC9 make sure this file is on your boot drive
atiflash .chg make sure this file is on your boot drive
atiflash.exe make sure this file is on your boot drive
Flash .bat file make sure this file is on your boot drive

Make sure by right and edit your .bat flash command looks like this in brackets is what it does
atiflash -s 0 oldocg0.bin (saves old bios)
atiflash -s 1 oldocg1.bin (saves old bios)
atiflash -p 0 S3C00001.OC8 -f ( force flash)
atiflash -p 1 S3C00001.OC9 -f (force flash)

Driver is 8.663.1_Beta5_Hemlock_VistaWin7_Nov11

i did exactly that. im using the 102 bios and it flashed correctly and tried the dirt 2 hotfix drivers and the beta5 hemlock ones

Just fixed it finally, i installed those 9.12 drivers that just came out and it fixed it, the overdrive is now there.

And that's one reason I rolled back from the Dirt Hotfix driver. It disabled Overdrive overclocking. Good to hear that the 9.12s are working well as I want to try those out next.

Yeah it's not the BIOS issue, all that was missing from the Sapphire BIOS was fan information/control I believe.
