Hi guys, last year I posted an $850 build thread for a friend and received some great advice. Took him a while, but he finally got his student loan, and is now ready to build his PC, although his budged has changed slightly since then; it's now around $1,100. He wants something fast and snappy, particularly for the 3D software he will be using in his engineering program (sorry don't know exactly what software). What do you guys think?

$330 CPU Intel Core i7-2600K
$110 Mobo GIGABYTE GA-Z68A-D3H-B3
$250 GPU GIGABYTE GV-R695OC-1GD Radeon HD 6950
$43 RAM G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1333 Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL
$194 SSD Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC
$80 PSU OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W

Total with shipping: $1,082.68

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Some gaming (scII), and 3d software. Currently using a 20" or so monitor but may upgrade in the future.

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
Around $1,100 CDN shipping included.

3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
Montreal, Canada

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
Motherboard
CPU
Graphics card
RAM
PSU
Hard drive

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
The case will be bought locally. Computer peripherals, the monitor, and maybe and old HDD (for storage) will be reused.

6) Will you be overclocking?
Not in the immediate future.

7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
Not sure but nothing huge. Probably the native resolution of a 20" monitor.

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Within a week.

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video? etc.

Nothing. Just the regular stuff (USB, onboard LAN, audio)

Ditch the PSU and go for the Corsair 650TX V2 650W, Seasonic M12II 620W, or XFX 650W PSUs.

What's wrong with the OCZ? Not as reliable?

Btw cool, the mobo just dropped $20 in price. :D

Alright we assembled the computer last week, everything worked flawlessly. Ram timing didn't even need to be set. And what a fast machine, compared to my x3 720 system. Thanks for the advice everyone (including ppl in the other thread).
