Are those APC 1U just power strips, or are those also a small UPS?
Those are switched PDU's. I've integrated them into my website and allow my friends to control the equipment remotely. Though I need to wire it up again...
I have quite the soft spot for them. Too bad my wallet doesn't agree most of the time.Nice. It seems like you like SuperMicro products, huh?![]()
There is a home use version, limits you to 50 IPs. Even with a decent Lab you would most likely still be okay.
I've been looking to get one of those remote PDU's myself. I'd love to see your website code *and by see, I of course mean steal*
$40 each, ebaywhat did those run ya?
I dig the old dell d series laptop on the cart. Should be in a box of stuff to recycle right?
Nice stuff everyone!
Speaking of Supermicro, this just came in.Still waiting for the rest of the components. Can't wait to do this build!
How's the old lady feel about it?![]()
I love Supermicro gear...I hate to admit it..but I just can't afford it all for the home lab..lol...well I could but i'd be divorced... EdgeMax is goin strong even with the cabling mess..lol.

Are you running Windows on it? If so, the image that comes with that hardware? I can upload a proper disk image for you if you want. PM me if you do as a reminder and I'll send it to you next month (on vacation in Europe until then).how are you driving the LCD on those boxes? I got one of the RSA ones (same Celestix hardware) and can't get the LCD to do anything
Why is the CPU speed so low?
You are reading that correct, right? 886 GHz? I hope you didnt see it as 886 MHz

Haha, Sorry for the blurry picture, That almost made me log into my V Center to make sure i didn't go back 20 years or so in there. Last thing I want to see again is old 5 1/4 inch floppy's and 20MB HD's![]()
You can raid floppy drives together, so you can put your VMs on it. Raid 5 with floppies, quick and easy to change failed ones too.![]()
Some Raspberry Pi action for a large room multi monitor setup.

Pray that they never have to do any plumbing work in there. A propane torch would make short work of that wiring block.
