nehalem vs bloomfield

I think nehalem is the family name for the architecture and Bloomfield is the codename for the current gen nehalem that serves desktop and single socket server/workstation.

I think 0.0?

Yeah.
Nehalem is the micro-arch, bloomfield is the 45nm s1366 quad core desktop version.
Just like Gulftown is the 32nm 6-core s1366 shrink of it.

Bloomfield processors are a subset of the Nehalem processors.

There is no such processor as "Nehalem"

As said, Nehalem is akin to Netburst, the architecture, not a processor codename.

considering he mentioned clock speed in the only line of his post, I think he meant nehalem vs bloomfield.
westmere is the 32nm subset of nehalem.

Forgive me, but I will give you that Netburst and Nehalem share a few similarities in what it can provide, however, they're not related. Intel had originally planned to develop upon the design of Netburst, but decided to go into a all new direction.

He was not saying anything about netburst and nehalam being alike, just that they are both the names of a microarchitecture.
