1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming. maybe d3 mainly i just play facebook games atm lol oh and i still have d2x and cs floating around :D

i was gonna pick up a premade "gamer" comp from cyberpowerPC http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229362 but someone told me to come here ^_^

Ouch. Yeah, avoid that machine if you can. It might have been a gamer PC once, but not really any more.

$500 is tight, but at least you have a monitor already, too bad no OS.

This build is pretty close... $18 over after MIR. Should be better than the one you linked though.

thx for the help! i know pretty much nothing about current computer specs (whats good whats not) last time i built a tower was in like 2000 lol. so all that stuff fare pretty good on current games?

For the games you've mentioned, it's a decent enough build. For AAA titles? It's going to struggle a bit.

Yup. It should play D3 at decent settings. Your budget doesn't really allow any better anyway. D2 will be no problem at all of course.
 
well i could always upgrade little by little as time goes by. 5 hundo is all i got to start with though :p
 
hey i just found one concern of mine. seeing alot of reports that diablo3 and win8 dont work well together. when i checked blizzards site for system reqs it says win8 (with latest service pack). anyone know anything about this?
