I'm thinking of making a trip to frys tonight...basically either my motherboard or processor is completely dead...

Should I buy a P4 3.0ghz processor mobo combo for sale $100

or get the Core 2duo ECS agp motherboard combo for $180....

Spending that much on my old crappy computer though just seems a bit much...so I dunno what to do, does theECD mobo also support PC3200 memory?

Well I went with the old p4 3.0 ghz and mobo combo because the C2D did not come with a heatsink and fan...I would have sunk like $230 into an old ass computer...now its just $100 to fix my fried mobo and CPU. Can't complain too much, although this mobo is a POS...it won't even let me have 4 sticks of memory, so i'm down to 1 gig of ram BLAH...
