My question is this.

How often should one buy a new PC computer 3, 4, or five years!

I brought my PC computer in June 2007 build for games and work, i also update the graphic card to a XFX 275 back in 2009. But last year 2011 the Computer MB had a repair and i brought a new PSU because of an lightning strike hit the building. Now i am moving back home to the UK this month, so i really want to know is it worth my time and money to spend out on shipping my old system back to the UK or just buy a new system.?

I just don't know what is best in your opinion.

Here is my system
Core 2 duo @2.40
Hunkey 600w psu,
XFX 275GTX,
HD 1TB, WD
Corsair DDR2 4GB,
Gigabyte motherboard,
Thermatske case.
24" Samsung Monitor.

Thank You.

What's it going to cost to ship it? Are there games you want to play that aren't performing as well as you'd like? What, in addition to gaming, do you use it for?

Check out the sticky at the top of the forum for the questions we like to have answered before responding =)

Hi Xonim

Ok the shipping cost is about £550.00, the company is [DragonSea] They told me in an email it's about that price but not sure because of the weight of the PC computer,Monitor, keyboard, and Software, that i want to send to the UK, there company only weight it at the depot and then send you the price latter which you pay only online.

This is the only problem part i am not sure of if it is worth my time and money on an old PC computer.

The games I play are [Skyrim] & [COD MW3] but not at the highest level in custom settings on the video, also now i want to use the computer for CS5 and Raw photography work.

Buy a new system. £550 to ship a PC that's only worth £400 is not a good expenditure. Salvage the LCD monitor and the hard drive and start anew.

Thanks for the advice i can take my 24" monitor, software and hard drive on the plane.

Then you could take your monitor, software and hard drive back to UK, and buy a new system.
I don't think cost £550 to ship an old PC is worthy. :D
