I am building a new system because my current system is nearly 10 years old. It has performed admirably and I built it with [H]'s help. My new system is based on the ASUS Maximus IV Extreme and I am planning on watercooling my CPU/GPU(s).
My build thread

I already have the waterblock/pump kit and am planning on using two 120x2 radiators mounted in the front of the case pulling air in. The back of the case will have 3 120mm and 2 80mm fans exhausting air out. My question lies in how I should route my plumbing.

I have envisioned the loop as such:
Pumps mounted in series connected to a tee.
Tee splits to input on each radiator (radiators in parallel)
Output on radiator connected to another tee going to a single tube again.
Tube from tee running to CPU, then GPU, then back to the pumps.

This way I have a redundant pump (in case one fails), parallel radiators (in case one clogs or fans quit working and to reduce restriction).

I was planning on using 1/4" or 3/8" tygon tubing with compression fittings. I plan on placing a silver kill coil in each radiator, and perhaps one in the reservoir. Distilled water with no dyes.

Does this sound like a good loop or are there better ways to run it?

just run everything in serial, make smooth clean runs with 3/8" or 1/2" tubing, Primochill LRT is top notch but pricey, I use $0.35/ft tubing from lowes, no staining or clouding after 6 months(I use 10% antifreeze/90% distilled)

I wouldn't stick kill coils in the radiators as it would be hard to get them out (not that youd need to) but it might partially block a channel. Just place it in the tubing somewhere, you can unwind them to make them the same size coils to fit inside the tubing without moving.

+1 on the do the radiators in serial, you aren't going to get all the cooling otherwise. It's unlikely the radiator will clog unless you have gunk in your water, and it wont lower restriction, infact probably raise it slightly (due to the extra T connectors. For splits i'd use a Y connector not a T but this would still not have better flow) as the water still needs to flow through all components. You can use the T to connect the resevior to, which will remove it's flow restriction from the loop.

I'd also avoid 1/4" tubing and go for 1/2 or 3/8" too. Compression fittings are pricey and don't really give much security over clips (but look better and are easier to remove) so that part is optional. :D

I was doing a bit of searching after posting this and found the Primoflex LRT vs MasterKleen vs Tygon and they all pointed to Primoflex. :)

Alright, so 3/8" Primoflex LRT tubing and everything in series. So I would have the pump feeding the first radiator, going to the next radiator going to the GPU then CPU, then back to the reservoir right?

just keep the res before the pump, then run the lines however would be easier/cleaner to install. It doesn't matter in what order the rest of the components are.

It is an integrated pump/reservoir so no worries there. Thanks, sounds like I'll be good to go then.

How do these components look to finish off the WC loop?
