Need Shuttle Build Advice

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming - Starcraft 2 (highest res&detail possible hopefully) Eve Online, COD etc..
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
Budget is around $900 with tax and shipping to CA
3) Where do you live?

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.

RAM
Motherboard? (I never built a shuttle before but i see some shuttles that include this with the case)
PSU (same case as above)
Graphics card (thinking of a 460)
wifi card? (unless built into mobo)

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.

2tb WD EARS HD
Logitech MX3200 mice keyboard combo so i'm good with this
6) Will you be overclocking?
maybe. meaning if its only a ~5 fps change, probably not.
7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have?
No monitor but want a 22-24 LCD LED w/ HDMI (I prefer a bigger monitor since i'll most likely use this for my xbox as well.)
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
around March
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? etc.
No need for SLI but USB 3 would be nice. SATA 6 probably not needed. built in wifi would be nice.
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If so, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?

Thanks for any and all advice! I don't have much room in my room so a shuttle would really be nice. I'm ok with full size machines but shuttles for some reason just confuse me, mainly the size constraints. Would like a system that isn't too loud.

Shuttle is a brand that make small form factor systems using a custom motherboard form factor and custom cooling components. They are usually sold in a barebones form (MB+PSU+CASE) to which you add CPU/ram/drives/cards.

There are standard systems in similar form factors but the most common one (mini-itx) only has one expansion slot position and isn't big enough to support larger chipsets like x58.

Looking at the parts list, I'm a little confused... By "Shuttle", do you mean the company or simply the small form-factor profile of the case?

Too soon to start planning a build man. Please come back 2-3 weeks before your actual build date and ask again.

The main reason before this is combo deals are almost always short time limited. So asking a mere 2-3 weeks beforehand, will help you maximize your power/dollar.


Also, you never know when AMD or nVidia might decide to drop the price of say, the GTX580 or HD6970 to a low 300usd, which might negate our previous recommendations given when the best 300usd could buy was a GTX570 or HD6950.
