So we have a very basic setup at work. Mostly Server 2003 with a SQL 2005 server, Exchange 2007, AD server and a 2008 server used just for storage, etc. for the time being and looking for backing it all up for a decent price. Currently running Backup Exec 11d (eek!) and a LTO 2 drive. As you can imagine its slow and just recently one tape is not enough so I started looking at other options and came across RDX drives which seem like a decent backup medium considering we want a tape like solution where it leaves the building just in case but of course it doesn't work with 11d from what I can gather. The new version is almost $3k for us with all the agents that we need. Also as most companies lately we are cutting back spending as much as possible but also need a solution. Any help will be greatly appreciated! :)
