I am going on vacation to the Caribbean tomorrow and I just bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4. Anyways I haven't really spent any time playing tablet games so I wonder if anyone could recommend me some.

I'd prefer single player stuff that doesn't require wi-fi or 4G to have a good experience, something I could play on a plane.

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic
Grand Theft Auto Vice City
Grand Theft Auto 3
Grand Theft Auto San Andreas
Dungeon Hunter 4 or 5 - not sure if this is online only, I do recall this being a good RPG though to mess with.
Deer Hunter 2016
Dead Trigger 2
Asphalt 8
Plague INC.

These are a few that I play during international travel as of lately.

Also, this link has a great list of games, paid and free.

I have basically hated every mobile game I have played aside from Sky Force 2014. KOTOR is good, but the way you have to drag to run drives me insane.

Probably a dumb question, should I go ahead and buy a wireless bluetooth controller (vs using the virtual controls on screen? Like I literally have done no gaming on real tablets before lol.

I was probably going to sideload znes emulator and play some of the classics as well. I remember on my S5 it was damn hard to time jumps on mega man without having a controller with mechanical buttons :p

I could think of about a billion better things to do in the Caribbean than sit around and play tablet games, might as well stay home if youre gonna waste your time doing that, lol! Put a movie on it or watch the inflight ones on the plane.

So much this.

Or watch those movies on the plane while playing games on the tablet...

YES! Especially if you want to play Dead Trigger 2! Modern Combat 5 ain't bad either. Both require internet connection. Someone mentioned Dungeon Hunter and I agree with that choice as well. Probably almost anything needs an internet connection unfortunately because so many games log into your google account.

I ended up playing Sky Force on the plane and at the airport (my DC connecting flight ended up getting delayed 3 hours to boot). The only other time I played it was around breakfast when ppl were still getting up.

400 well spent, haha! I actually had one of those for a bit but ended up returning it before the 30 day grace period was up. Ive got a samsung galaxy note 4 cell phone which is decent sized and does everything and more that a tablet can so i didnt have much use for the tablet i found out. other than watching a movie the larger tablet is actually a downside as far as i can tell. i can use my phone and swype with one hand very easy, tablet just felt bulky and annoying to use for me.

Fallout Shelter is pretty good. Although, it's one of those things where you will likely need to spend some amount of money to keep the resources flowing.

Not once you get the hang of it. I stopped playing it once I had the system down because it was boring, just a vault that got bigger and bigger.

What controller do you guys use? Can you just use a PS3 controller or something?
