Need a 550-600Watt PSU for my niece , that is good and reliable. I was looking on newegg but they want as much as i paid for a 650 Antec for the same price as a low wattage :) Just looking for the best but cheapest PSU on the market of newegg/amazon or other good places that have good rep and fast delivery cause the faster they deliver the faster my niece gets her PC back for school work and stuff!

Whats the specs? Are you sure you need that much? a CX-430 should fit that budget.

VP450 will power that no problems; running the below on mine.
2500K @ 4.6 :: 6950 IceQ X Turbo 2GB :: 4x4GB HyperX 1600 :: SSD: 2 7200RPM drives :: 2 burners :: 3x140mm + 2x120mm fans

You're gonna have to use a molex to PCIe adapter for the extra 6pin on the card but otherwise you should be fine.
I would get a VP450 over a CX430; VP450 has better internals and pulled 553W on overload test in the Hardware Secrets review.
The only reason it's not 80+ certified is because it doesn't have PFC.

Price?

Amazon has them the cheapest ($37.33). Occasionally they go on sale for around $32 (that's what I paid for mine).

The CX430V2 looks like it pulled 517W on HS review, but I believe they've switched OEM's recently (and they are no longer made by CWT). I've had 0-for-1 luck with a CX500, so I'm a bit skewed; I wouldn't touch a CX Corsair at this point.
A CX430V2 will be cheaper after rebates; those typically go for <$20, but whether you get a good one right off the bat is anyone's guess. AFAIK they still have issues with coil whine on a fair amount of them and rather than risk it I'd just buy a VP450.

you think a 430 is good for a overclocked 2600k to 4.5ghz on hyper 212+ evo and overclocked 6950 , should of mentioned that earlier "yikes" sorry.

Use this
You should probably be OK with a CX430 (because it overloads to 517W), but it might be cutting it a little close. I'd go with the VP450 only because (including overload) you're looking at 517W vs 553W for practically the same price. You're probably not looking at 100% load, all cores + GPU at any point, so you can leave the 90% load (conservatively) and get accurate figures. I typically put in 25% for the "capacitor aging" because I keep my PSU's as long as they live and run 24/7.

Corsair's calculator lists a 430 as being OK with an i7 (2000 series), that GPU, 1 HD, and "overclocked CPU". If you put a check in "overclocked video card", the lowest listed is a GS600. I don't know what your GPU OC is, so I don't know if you need to account for that or not.

The 2600k is 150 watts at most overclocked. An overclocked 6950 is about 220 watts at most overclocked. The rest of the system is ~50-100 watts. You're looking at 420-470 watts max load.

The XFX Pro 550w Core edition $40 after rebates on Newegg, and is a better value than anything mentioned above if you can stomach the initial upfront cost of $55.

found my new powersupply thanks for your input but for 59$ and 600 watts this has to be it

In cart and bought

Wanted a better deal on something but this is pretty good , good solid brand and more watts then i need

Nope. As the others have said, the XFX is of better quality than that Corsair. Not to mention that Corsair CX600 only has 46A on the +12V rail on the +12V rail whereas the XFX has 44A on the +12V rail. So in other words, you're only getting about an extra 24W of power over the XFX with that Corsair. Considering the quality difference, that extra 24W is not worth it.
