It's a generic looking 300w PSU from Star Tech. [H] has a review on an 850w unit and it was a decent PSU but of course that means nothing to this one because this is a completely different beast all together. Is this thing any good? It won't be used in a demanding application (it's being installed into a workstation that has a PSU burn out). The PC is an old machine and only used for word processing and spreadsheets and maybe occasional web browsing/email. Nothing else.

Depends on the system really. This PSU looks like a piece of crap, but for an older system with very low power requirements it would be sufficient.

It's ATNG made. So possibility that it's a semi-decent PSU.

However, if you don't already have that PSU, once you factor in shipping, that Star-Tech PSU costs the same as this better quality PSU:
Antec True Power Trio TP3-430 430W PSU - $40 with free shipping

Also, what are the specs for this "old" system?

It's not my build, and the PSU was already bought. I just wanted more info and was hoping it wasn't a totally trash PSU.
