I am building a system and the case comes with a 500 watt power supply which saves me a lot of money. I want to know if that is enough to run 200gb hard drive, 8800gts 320, conroe e6600 and 2gb ram and standard dvd drive.

what psu is it?
most psu that come with cases r crap and die and will take ur 8800GTS and e6600 with it  i recommend getting a new psu.

I'd say a quality unit would be ok, but xnikx is right. Is it a Radimax or something that came with the case?

with very few exceptions, do not buy cases that come with psu's. they cost more, the psu's are usually bad, and you're just wasting money.

Not sure of the power draw of the E6600 and 8800 GTS, but you may want to do like I did and stop wasting your valuable time worrying about it and just get the Corsair 520W from ZipZoomFly. It is $106 shipped. That is less than $30 difference from Newegg when you include shipping. Work an extra hour or two of overtime or something.

if i were building it for me then i would not be asking and just get the best stuff, but im building it for someone else so im having to compromise. I dont want to sacrifice quality. I put a lot of work in my builds. However, I have to keep this system under 1500, and im still 100 over as of now and would be 200 over if i put in a 150 dollar power supply.

it's really 500w. As a 500w, it's ok, but better exist. Like at that price range, just a bit more, $90 gets you a corsair hx 520.

The xtreme 600 is 500w; yoiu can see it through the fan, inside it's like a big sign that says OMFG SEVENTEAM 500w inside of it.

The Coolermaster in question will do just fine... the OP could easily do a whole lot worse than OEM Seventeam. Just don't expect more than the 500W it's actually good for from it ;)

I think johny needs to do a review update or something im telling you the 600 watt i got doesnt match his.
