I put it all together yesterday & fired it up. It came on & the fans were working but then I noticed smoke coming out the top fan & smelled like burnt plastic. I immediately turned off power to the psu & unplugged it. I looked at every wire & I couldn't not find one damaged at all. Could this be a bad piece of hardware? I'm not sure where the smoke originated but seemed to come from HDD cage area but maybe not. Haven't touched it since.

Think I found what burnt.

I had a front panel usb connector plugged into the MB speaker, oops.
Burnt out a some of the wire.

How do I fix that? I wanted that FP usb.

Contact the manufacturer and see if they'll replace it.

I'm good, nothing damaged except a small portion the usb wire.

A friend came over & soldered some new wires to it & a new connector.
It's working good. May replace the whole wire one day.
