need help with gaming build

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? mostly gaming, listening to music (musician,bass player) web surfing. have speakers but would like suggestions on sound card.

usually keep a system for 3 or 4 years upgrading the video card and sometimes adding ram. so will need some headroom for doing this. thanks so much for your help and time.!

Since you have a bit of leeway there in time, I recommend that you please come back in late April/Early May and ask for advice then. By then, Intel's new Ivy Bridge CPUs and Z77 motherboards will be out. Since you plan on keeping the system for a long time, might as well the extra months so that you can get as much performance as possible.
