Need help with 800D dual loop SLI

I have decided to build a computer. After some research, I have chosen most of the parts, and I will list them below:

Corsair 800D chassis
2600K cpu
Dual EVGA Hydro Copper GTX 580s
600gb velociraptor
120gb OCZ ssd
8gb 2000mhz Corsair Dominator
1050W thermaltake toughpower grand
Asus Maximus IV
Samsung BD player

My plan is to have a dual loop water cooling setup, parts listed below:

XSPC dual drive bay 5.25" dual resevoir for 2x Liand DDC pumps
XSPC RS 360 radiator
XSPC RX 240 radiator
2x MCP 355

These are the core components of the system. What I need help/advice with is:

•Which radiator should be cooling the cpu, and which for the gpus?
•what are pros and cons of going with either barbs or compression fittings?
•what size tubing should i go with?

I know there a few key questions I am forgetting at the moment, so I may add them later if I get any feedback on these questions.

I would use the 360 for the GPUs and the 240 for the. 7/16 or 1/2 tubing. I have only ever used barbs so I cant comment on the compression fittings. You planning to put the 240 at the bottom in front of the PSU?
 
+1 on the 360 rad for the video cards and 240 for the cpu. Why are you going with an RS for the 360 and RX for the 240 ? You going to be doing push pull on the RS?
 
I'd put it all together and make one loop.
Barbs vs compression is essentially just for looks and/or cost.
As long as you get at least 3/8" ID tubing, size really doesn't matter. It's more personal preference than anything else.

@ cactus: yes, the 240 will be in the bottom front of the case, which i will have to modify to allow air into that part of the case.

@ masteroflostsouls: the 360 will have push only at first, but i plan to add pull when I do my first revision of the setup/wires, also to add a shroud on top of the case with the extra fans.

main dilemma is still tube/fitting sizes. I am not sure where to start.. Do i say, "okay, I'll give the radiators 1/2" fittings.. and then keep everything 1/2" from there?"
 
1/2" ID tubing may give an ever-so-slightly increased flow-rate over 3/8" or 7/16" ID tubing. So if you want maximum theoretical performance, go with 1/2" ID. No matter what ID tubing you get, though, I recommend it has 1/8" walls (i.e. 1/2" ID, 3/4" OD).
 
@ cruiza: vital information, thank you. Flow rate is definitely a concern I have for the Gpu loop. Why the spec on 1/8" thick tube walls?
 
It helps prevent kinking and offers better protection against cuts/tears/pokes/etc.
 
You can fit an RX360 up top with push/pull fans, it's a tight fit but it works. You can run this on a single loop with one MCP355 as well, there's no need to do separate loops.
 
I have 2xRX 360's in my 700D case. With 3/8 hose, I'm only running one Mcp355 pump on my loop. The pump is on a controler turned all the way down and my video card never gets over 34c gamming. Thats with the fans turned all the way down also.
 
I would definitely go single loop, there is absolutely no reason for your setup to have two loops. A single MCP355 is enough for your setup.

It is generally recommended to keep the same size tubing throughout, that way you only need to buy one size tubing. Of course, you can mix tubing sizes, but that's all up to you.
 
Stick to a single loop. Cleaner/simpler and fewer failure points - you also won't need an extra reservoir or pump and you don't have to mess with filling two separate loops. Go with 1/2" fittings all around as well. Mixing tube sizes would be strange and serve no functional benefit nor performance advantage.

If you are just after looks, then by all means ignore this advice and do whatever you want. I tend to go more performance/function first :)

Oh, and the 2000Mhz Corsair Dominator memory is pretty much wasted on a Sandy Bridge. Save some cash and get 8 gigs of 1600Mhz G. Skill CL8 1.5V instead for almost half the price. Trust me, you'll have problems running the Dominators on a SB setup which is really only designed to support memory up to 1.6V max (ideal is 1.5V). Not saying it won't work, but lots of folks have problems with Dominators on SB setups.

Corsair vengance (sp?) would be what you should also look for.
