hey guys looking at my sig below.you think its possible for me to upgrade my card
say to a 5770 or even 5870 on my current psu?

just a thought u think even daring and going for fermi would i have enough to power it?

P.S. you guys can also recommend what video card i can upgrade as i have no clue whats the current good video card atm

Thnks in advance!

Antec Earthwatts are pretty good PSU's. http://hardocp.com/article/2009/09/18/antec_earthwatts_750w_psu_review/9

That being said you should have no problem upgrading your card with your PSU especially if you go with 5000 series. (minus the 5970)

Fermi, is going to cut it close but I still think there will be no problem, especially if you go with the 470.

Another thing to consider though is your fan on your PSU will start getting loud at huge loads, and any future upgrades may force you to get another power supply.

Max I'd recommend the HD 5850 with that PSU. Would not recommend a single Fermi card.

It would be fine to run a GTX470 off of that PSU, but not a GTX480. A 5870 would also be fine.

fermi uses 250w at full load by itself - could be done on a 600w, but you need to make sure the psu is giving 20-25 amps to the gpu

5870 requires 190w @ 15-20amps, 5770 requires 110w @ 15-20amps
