It's hard to say from that. If you had a really, really long uptime it would suggest a memory leak, but 12 hours is nothing. Have you tried rebooting and then seeing which application causes the X memory usage to go up?
 
Yeah it finally fixed itself after a reboot, but I never had it happen before. Freaked me out lol
 
Linux doesn't have memory problems like windows.. so I would look elsewhere..
