Howdy Everyone!

My 750hx decided to go out yesterday with a loud pop noise. So i went to micro center and picked up an OCZ Mod Stream Pro (600 wats) .

The issue is the cord does not reach all the way to the top of P183 case for the CPU fan. So I have mounted the PSU not on the tray like it should be but floating in the air just being held by the screws. Will this screw anything up?

Thanks for your HALP!

It is usually held in by 4 screws and lays on top of a riser board for the p183.

However, since the cord was not long enough, i switch the mount plate around and now it is mount up more with only 3 screws holding it in.

Thanks for the quick feedback!!!!

Do they make any kind of PSU extension cords?

Check Newegg. There should be an 8PIn EPS12V extension cable available. We use to recommend those all the time when the P180 and P182 cases were recommended.

Thanks that is what I was looking for but did not know the name or where it would be under!
