So earlier today my pc was running fine, but today after work I went on an my pc was loading really slowly.

The starting screen came on, then the keyboard lights (light up keboard) went off.
And as the windows 7 logo was loading the keybaord turned on and off twice.
The welcome screen was on for a while and then the computer slowly loaded my desktop.

The weird thing is wheni went to play crysis 2 demo the loading took forver but the game ran just as smooth as always.

Idk if these other issues, posted below, have anything to do with this but here are other isues ive had.

Computer completely shutting down and restarting.

I have 8gbs of ram but sometimes my pc will only read 4gbs and i will have to reseat them.

Please Help.

Also I have tried replugging everything inside the chasis, defragging and restoring.

Honestly, sounds like bad motherboard to me.

Could be bad RAM if you're getting wrong counts.
Could be a bad PSU.

But all of these things together kinda point the finger to the board.

The RAM mis-reading is sometimes a CPU issue as well. The only surefire way to rule out the CPU or motherboard is to try out another CPU or motherboard.

While I agree the other issues mentioned above are more likely for your symptoms, especially since many of them occur before OS is loaded, but have you made any system changes lately - just before symptons started? Have you tried using a restore point to see if it makes any difference?

Thses are low liklihood items, but a lot easier to check before changing out a CPU or mobo?

I ran memtest and prime95 (for memory) for a 1hr & 25mins, with no errors.
And i ran prime95 for cpu for 2 hours with no errors.

After doing some research I found out that im not the only one experiencing this ram "misreading" with this board.

Apparently a lot of people received their boards with damaged slots and bent pins.

I still want to be sure its the mother board though.

If i hook up my old pcs hd to my new pc and launch of it, could this cause damage since theirs different drivers on that hd? or will it be ok since im just trying to see if the slow loading is taking place?

I also want to be sure that the HD wasnt damaged.
I've done windows recovery and nothing changed, but i also did a dick check and had no errors.

Well i rmaed my board, gigabyte told me it was a bad cpu socket and was repaired
its been more then two weeks and just got it back today
no changes.
Things are actually worse now.

Im still having random crashes, terrible fps, cant format windows or install crysis 2, getting weird errors, and memory misreadings.

The CD drive also does not work anymore, it loads things for a while thing just stops.

This is the worst problem i have ever had. Im going insane. I have no idea what the problem is and dont want to go out and buy a new baord if thats not even the issue.

And i dont want to take it to a pc store because they will charge me $150 to tell me the things i already know.

I feel like i just wasted alot of money.....

Also im hearing all kinds of weird noises
Especially soon as i turn the pc on, also i started one time and the fans were all spinning extremely fast.

I hooked up my old psu and hd and nothing.

If it was me, I'd either RMA the motherboard again or just buy a new motherboard
