Need help on Upgrade e4300 or ???

Did you replace an e6400 at 3.2 (in your sig) with... an e4300 @ 3?

Sorry for the delayed reply - been busy! Anyway, no I still have the E6400 @ 3.2GHz. The E4300 was for a cheap / fast rig I put together for my son.

Update: Got the E4300 running at 3.2GHz, 12 hours Orthos certified . All it needed was a little vcore nudge up to 1.40V and use the 9x mult @ 356 bus with memory at 890MHz. Strangely enough, it won't boot at all at 8x400 and memory 800 Nonetheless, 3.2GHz is a pretty good OC for this chip IMO.

No go at 400 / 401 anything, even 6x mult. This DS3 mustn't like 400MHz bus, and I even put a 40mm fan on the NB HS to keep it cool. Mine quite happily does 450MHz bus.

Anyway, not to worry. This thing is now solid as a rock at 3.2GHz
