Need Help Navigating the Notebook Market

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read through my post. I will endeavor to be brief!

I'm getting bogged down in all of similar offerings of the notebook market. I'm looking for a portable notebook. At first, I thought I wanted a netbook, but my hands just feel too cramped on the keyboard.

I still want something small and portable like that though, so I started looking at the 11.6 offerings. I have found a few that have caught my eye, especially the HP Pavilion dm1-4010us. It appears to be a fairly solid product, but I wanted to double check with the awesome community on [H] to see if anyone knew of any major issues with this model, or of anything else with comprable specsprice.

The primary purpose would be business word processing, and programming. However, I'd like to have the option to toss a few games onto it, or do a little video editing if the need arose.

These are all open to discussion, but I'm looking for something around the lines of
  • 11.6 LED Screen
  • Windows 7 Home (or better)
  • 1.5+GHz dual core processor
  • 2-4 GB of DDR 3 RAM
  • 6-Cell Battery (rated at 6+ hours of use)
  • 250+ GB HDD (7200 RPM please... no 5400)
  • 3.5 lbs or less
  • $450 or less (prefer under $400)

I know I'm asking for a lot at that price point, but like I said, I just wanted to hit you guys up and see if anyone knew of anything that would hit my needs at a similarlower cost.

I had the DM1-3XXX series laptop and the only real problem I had with it was the trackpad was terrible. From what I've read, they addressed this in the new 4XXX. A "few games" on it might or might not work really well. Anything recent is not going to run very well at the native resolution.

That being said, it functioned well as a word processing/internet machine for me. Played video without issue and had HDMI output.

Personally, I'm looking into the Samsung Series 3 11.6" notebook. But I might just continue to use my Thinkpad X61 for the present.

Don't worry, I'm not talking about a modern gaming laptop application like BF3 or anything like that. I'm talking more like: Rome total war... Knights of the old republic... Maybe sims 3 (on lower settings) for the lady... Stuff like that.
 
The only option that comes to mind as a direct competitor to the HP DM you mention is the Lenovo Thinkpad x130e, so you could look at that.
