Hi, I need help identifying corrosion on my video card before I send it back for RMA. IIRC corrosion voids the warranty so I need help checking for corrosion so that I wouldn't waste time, energy and effort returning this item

There is no corrosion on that side of the board. The slight white discoloration you see is from the manufacturing process where they clean the board after soldering to remove flux. The cleaning process is never perfect these days because of the ban on the use of CFCs and leaded solder (ROHS), but it doesn't affect performance. You are good to RMA.

If the card requires RMA, it's apparently dead. Your only option is to RMA isn't it unless you want a pretty paper weight? A bunch of strangers on a forum won't change that future. Now, if you're thinking of trying to remove the blemishes and create scouring patterns while trying...? Don't do that.

Thank you for input, actually I've already sent the card the RMA servicer said this is proof of corrosion

Yep I never did try to clean it myself, because using the wrong cleaning stuff can irrevocably damage the GPU. Actually I've already sent the card the RMA servicer said this is proof of corrosion and they cleaned the corrosion and said it should be working fine now.

I see nothing obviously amiss with the card, in the picture. If you've really troubleshot thoroughly, and are sure that whatever problem you're having is the result of a hardware failure on this part, go ahead and RMA.
