I've hooked up the front buttons to boards a million times but this time it got me, I'm stuck.
I'm trying to hook up the front buttons on my Chenming case to my Asus P5NSLI board but I'm not sure if the wires were color coded correcly.
Usually I've always just looked at pin one, then went right across looking each time at the PW button or the Reset button and where ever the arrow is on that jumper I place it towards Pin 1. Problem is some of the arrows/pin1 on the cables have white/green and some have black, but I always though black was negative. Take the speaker cable for example.
The arrow indicating pin one is black and the other side is red. Is this correct? Which side is the speaker? Half the cables are the same way in that where on the board it's say +5v goes first, on the actually cable where the arrow is the color is black. If this is confusing sorry, I'm trying to explain it as best as possible. I just don't want to blow the board. Thanks in advance for any help. Is black usually positive or is the color?
