need help flashing BIOS

So I downloaded the files, includes the rom itself and AFUDOS utility, but how to I boot it from a flash drive? Ive only flashed my bios once in the past like 3 years, before that I was using the floppy and it was easy as anything. Help me out please!
 
AFUDOS <ROMNAME.ROM> will check the file, erase the old, and flash the new all in one step, for future reference
 
now my problem is it boots but everytime says cmos checksum error, press f1 or f2 etc, i flashed again and it didnt help.....i vaguely remember this happening before....but forget how I fixed it. anyone at all?
 
Press F1 and go in and set your old values. Shouldn't give it to you after the first time you flash and save settings.
 
i had to reflash it, then slide the jumper over for about 10 minutes, THEN it said clock wrong, then I set everything and now its working just fine. :)
