So I have 3xAcer 120Hz screens and they call came with nice beefy 5' Dual Link DVI cables. That's great and all but with my monitor arm I have to place my PC right behind it or the cables do not reach. So I am going to buy some longer DVI cables.

I was looking at Amazon but most of the non-$100 ones for 15' cables don't even show ferrites! Anyone have a recommendation for good DVI cables 15' long? Lcom was another one I was looking at they look OK but I wanted to see what the [H] had to say.

The neat thing about digital transmission is either the receiving end will get the signal or not. There is no reduction in quality like an analog signal.
That's not entirely correct. It's very important that the cable is impedance matched correctly to not attenuate the signal too much at the transmission frequency. A cable with a too high inductance or capacitance will soften the edges of a square wave considerably - and it get's worse and worse the longer the cable becomes. In that case it can be corrected by stub matching, but it isn't really practical.
Cheap cables - can - feature all kind of cables. Some of them don't even contain real ferrite beads, but just has a plastic "bead" to imitate one. :D
I'm not really recommending people to buy overpriced cables, but not just to jump on the cheaper cables for longer cable lengths (at least not for FHD and above).
