I am looking to buy a new case. I have used an love the Sonatas because they are fairly cheap, include good PSU and are quiet. The only problem is they are very heavy.

Can anyone suggest a good case that isnt any bigger than the Sonata, but weighs a lot less, (aluminum) and is quiet (basically need something with a 120 intake and 120 exhaust).

i just got the antec p160w it;s a pretty nice case. it;s fairly sturdy. it doesn have come design faults. i actually put a dent on the top when i was using it as leverage to pull the front bezel off. :D but once you get use to the case you'll love it.

Antec LANBoy and P160 are both pretty nice cases. I use the LANBoy for one of my lab systems and it's got pretty great airflow with only the 120mm intake and exhaust fans. It's also very light. It's not as quiet as the P160 or the Sonata cases, but it's also not as loud as most smaller cases in my experience.

Thanks for the suggestions. The Coolermaster doesnt look like what I want (80mm fans = bad). The LANBoy is nearly perfect, Id forgotten it existed, but I don't really want a window but Ill look into it. The p160 is huge though. I remember messing around with one at a lan party once. Plus, the nonWindow model isnt in stock anywhere, I definatly dont want that huge window on my case.

I need to choose between The Super Lanboy and the Sonata II. LANBoy is gonna cost a bit more after I buy a PSU for it, and 2 good fans (LED fans? I dont drive a Honda :p) but the Sonata is soo heavy.

the centurion 5 cae is awesome, and the wait isn't much . i think you can decide yourself, go to a vendor and start looking for the case that fits your needs.

lian li pc-7b's can be had for about 100 bucks shipped these days..

alluminum, simple\sleek, dual 120mm fans

I will third the Centurion 5 !!! $44.99 and what you get is a very sturdy, well built case. I had an antec lanboy, it cost nearly $100 I think. I liked the lanboy, but honestly, next to the centurion, the lanboy feel cheap and flimsy....and guady looking. I liked the centurion so much, I bought two and put the guts of my second computer into it. It didn't get over 650 reviews and still have 5 stars on newegg for nothing. Just a fantastic mid tower case at any price. For $45 it's a steal.

I just built a new rig with the Enermax Chakra case. I added two 120mm Enlobal fans to it as well. The case lists for $70 most places. I found it for $55 @ Central Computers. It runs very quiet and very cool. Its not all aluminum but it is light weight(mid-tower). I chose the all black but you can get it in two other color schemes. Here's the components of my system:

Enermax Chakra Case w/(2) Enlobal 120mm fans
Seasonic S12 600w PSU
Intel E6400
Zalman 9500AT
P5WDH Deluxe 0801 BIOS (sticker said 0701)

Seagate 7200.10 250GB HD
Mitsumi 7-in-1 Floppy/Card Reader
