Hi.I bought my first LCD monitor and has VGA connector.I have some questions.I have turned Clear type on.

1)Black text on white background sometimes seems "redish" (like if some letters had a slight red shade).I think i had read something about this ,but can't find any info.Is it fixable or it's just because of bad monitor construction?I usually notice it with small fonts.

2)Is there any gain if i use a VGA to DVI adaptor and connect the monitor to the DVI output of the video card?

Thank you.

I have an old vga lcd and sucks when compared to DVI-A or D connections. VGA connections are not the best and this varies with each LCD brand. I doubt the adapter will increase your quality due to the fact that you still are using the VGA interface.

Thanks a lot for the reply.I did try the adaptor and it was worse. The top side of Firefox for example instead of gray ,had a reddish shade.Back to VGA.At least as colours i can't complain with it.
