Need a new cpu cooler....

I've been using one of these for probably almost 2 years now and today i was doing some cpu heavy work and my pc kept shutting down come to find out the fan on the thing died causing the cpu to overheat. So i need a new heatsink/cooler. I dont want to spend a lot of money and i need something that can just snap onto the motherboard from above like the one i have...i really dont feel like taking my entire computer apart to change the heatsink and putting mounting brackets behind the motherboard.

Whats the best cooler i can get for it? Also, im running an E4500 overclocked to 3.2 ghz....

I am something of a huge-heat-sink-whore. I like my Scythe Zipang 2 but I also even though it was too big for my case, I really liked the cooling power of the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus. Both are quieter than the Arctic Cooling model you have - I have an AC Freezer 64 Pro that I thought I was going to keep using except it was too loud for my tastes.

Nothing wrong with getting a new heatsink but a replacement fan can be had for $5 bucks + shipping.

I would like to recommend those 120mm tower heatsinks. But if you don' want to mount any back plate, chances are your mobo will bends and malfunctions over the time. Most of them are over 600g.

Chances are? I have never seen that happen with a tower heatsink that uses push-pins for mounting. It's quite unlikely that any damage will happen to the motherboard.
