Hey guys I'm wondering what's the best 26-28" monitor I could buy under $500? I'll be using it for playing with my 360 on hdmi and gaming / surfing on my pc. I don't mind buying something used

thank you

If you live near a costco they have the same hannsG for a little more than newegg.

Costco has a good 90 day return policy, which is better than newegg's piss poor dead pixel policy, and there's always that convenience of buying in-store. Not that newegg is the worst place to buy monitors mind you...

Here's the product on their website: http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11236988

Not sure if the hannsG has 1:1 pixel mapping.

My friend just ordered a Hanns G from Newegg. He saw it in person at Costco and he said the viewing angles were no worse than what he's used to. It is cheap for a 27.5 inch monitor. He said he saved $50 by buying it at the egg instead.

Hmm I need a monitor with 1:1 pixel mapping I don't think the HannsG has it

but I need one with 1:1 pixel mapping, the 289 model might have it but I don't know where to get it from

thank you, Ali

Buy a TV, I just picked up a 1080p Vizio 32in for 400 bux shipped. Very nice screen for the price

I've got a sharp 32" 1080p, it's just too big for me and it's killing my eyes, I think the new hannsg might be what I'm looking for.

Going by your reply in the other thread, looks like the newer HannsG HH-281HPB has 1:1 pixel mapping. You're good to go.

Def let us know what you think, there's probably a lot of people here curious about this newer model. Going to buy a a larger 25.5"~28" 1920x1200 myself in a few months, and 1:1 is one of my requirements.
