NEC 2690 sRGB emulation

I noticed using my 2690 sRGB emulation mode, that its results - the white point - actually depend on the settings of one of the "neighbouring" modes, i.e. 3 and 5. Try to enter mode 3 or 5 and dramatically change its colour temperature, then return to sRGB mode, you shall notice a change on the temperature of white.

For example I set the mode 3 to (R/G/B):
170 180 255
which results in white temperature in sRGB - 6625 K

Mode 5:
180 201 246
sRGB white - ~6310 K

Using Spectraview II and Eye-One Display 2 calibrator.

Can you confirm the same?

Edit: More clarification, I really should be better with English:
When I switch to more 5 (now blueish) and then return from this mode to the sRGB emulation, the white is more blueish.
Trying the same with mode 5 (more yelowish) results in more yellowish sRGB.

Thanks

Maybe I described it incorrectly. Ths sRGB mode white point changes according to from which mode do I enter the sRGB mode. I actually like this possibility, so I can adjust sRGB to be more cold or warm or neutral :)

And maybe it is just my 2690.

Anyway, thans for the reply, Ranma13.

I shall try this. I was curious why sRGB was oddly planted right between #3 and #5.

It doesn't seem to have this effect on my 3090 at all.

I'll check this out Biges. I have the latest NEC Spectraview II kit which also supports a basic sRGB calibration mode, with the biggest problem (to me) being that it does not change the color temperature of white.

Hopefully you are right and the sRGB mode will see improvement from this process. Thanks for your research.

I edited the first post to be more clear :)

@10e What do you have? There is a new kit which enables calibration of the sRGB mode? Where did you get this?
