wow someone claimed the $2000 prototype
Not sure if you thought this far ahead but if you do go into production will you sell them independently or try to go through places like Amazon or Newegg? I know a little company who sells mini-ITX cases who'd be interested in stocking a few .
Is that coke can really built to scale in autocad or 3d studio max for this render?
Becuse i need a small pc for my 3d printer that can stuff a good sized gpu in it.
That's kind of the point in putting a can of coke there, for scale reference..
Haha! Look at that, the 60 degree angles on this case Necere was using back in 2003. Engineering easter eggs? Nuts!I started this thread because I just wanted an aluminum version of the SG05.
Then I found out that Necere has been designing computer cases for 10+ years (www.sudhian.com/forums/index.php/topic,37251.0.html).
I figure I can get a computer case and help him take his hobby to the next level. That's what kept us going and M1 is the result.
That aside, we don't know. We didn't think we can get this far. I guess we'll figure it out as we go. We will probably consult you guys. It's kind of an adventure for all of us.
Ha, yeah... Feel the love.Top quality comments from Tom's readers, yep. :3
They think $160 is expensive? What kind of cases are the fine folks at Tom's buying for their PCs?

Man I remember those things, they were so cool but I wasn't able to afford them when they were popular. Too young and broke.Probably just $100 cases. I haven't bought a really expensive case in a while, considering my last case was an LL A05B ($100) and my current case is a LL Q11 ($100). Before the A05 though, I was rocking a Koolance V1000, which was $450. If you're a real "enthusiast", you gotta pay to play!
$200 would be a good deal for this case in my opinion. I've spent more on single graphics cards alone, and cases are arguably the most important part of a build.160 is a good deal if thats what this case will sell for
i payed full price for my 800D when it came out
im willing to pay for a good case if it has what i want
imo these guys need to go talk to Corsair not Lian Li

Lian Li is helping the enthusiast community by supporting this product. We cannot price our product to compete with their prices or produce in large quantities that would hurt their market share.
Lian Li price their mITX case with enthusiast GPU support between $110-$170.
We have to respect our manufacturer's business and pricing.
The same courtesy would apply to SilverStone and other potential manufacturers.
The premium is for consistency in production:
To make the smallest case possible, every millimeter matters. It's very demanding for production consistency and tolerance, otherwise components wont fit.
Does Corsair manufacture their own stuff or contract out? What advantage would they have over a large-scale manufacturer like Lian Li?id rather you talk to Corsair and bump the price up to 200 or 250
imo it would still be worth it
any one that says your pricing to high its nuts if any thing your pricing low

I vote no thanks!
Corsair most likely doesn't manufacture their stuff anyway. Leave it to the guys who's sole business is cases.
every case Corsair has made has been better then any thing Lian Li has ever done
it might not be Corsairs sole business but they are better then every one else at it
