N64 Controller Port Dimensions

Can anyone out there provide me with the outside dimensions of the N64 controller port (the external circular one - see pic). I need it for a project I am considering and cannot produce the info I need through Google.

EDIT: Never mind, presumably you just mean diameter. By outer do you mean the outside of the plastic ring?

I'll try to remember to check when I get home if no one else has done it by then.

Yeah, just need the diameter of the very outside plastic ring. I am seeing how large of a hole i need to mount a controller port in a piece of plastic (for using controllers on emulator build).

I do have a N64 around the house somewhere, so I'll see if I can't get you the measurement you're asking for, but I'd think you would actually want the hole diameter, and not the diameter of the mounting ring. If you made the hole the same diameter as the outer ring, it would just pass right through it.

both would be great - but yes, diameter of the hold would be ideal (but not expecting anyone to tear apart their console for this )

If I had the outer ring diameter, I could guestimate the hole diameter for now (this is just a proof of concept). I will be getting some controller ports when I finally do get around to building it.

Okay, so the diameter of the outer port thing is 7/8", almost exactly.

Other notable dimensions:

Inner port width at widest point: Approx. 5/8"
Inner port height at widest point: Approx. 3/8"

Hope that helps...on my phone so I can't really draw exactly what I mean, hopefully it's clear enough.
